Volanteus shows the Metro newspaper some of the finer details of luxury jet travel

When it comes to entertaining some of our celebrity customers, the press normally only get as far as the airport.  However, on this occasion we were delighted to open the doors to welcome a special guest on 3rd November 2016.  Lifestyle Editor of Metro.co.uk Yvette Cooper came on board one of our Embraer Legacy aircraft to enjoy a taste of the high-life.

Accompanied by photographer Marco Kesseler, the pair were treated to the finer details of luxury travel for a feature highlighting what to expect from Volanteus's bespoke service and fleet of 5,000 fully licensed private jets.  Joining them on the tarmac at TAG Farnborough Airport, our Managing Director Mark Green gave Yvette and Marco a tour around the aircraft, followed by a delightful lunch that was as visually stunning as it was delicious, enjoyed with a flute of crisp, cold Champagne. 

The day consisted of all the unique elements that make Volanteus a leader in the luxury charter jet industry, without actually taking to the air.  From the VIP airport experience and streamlined check-in process to relaxing in the sumptuous surroundings of the comfortable cabin and tantalising our guest's taste buds with a menu designed around their specific catering requirements, the day was a glimpse into the world of luxury private travel and how Volanteus is redefining the art of flying for our clients across the world. 

Our catering partner, Air Culinaire Worldwide, provided an exceptional and exquisite tasting menu worthy of any leading Michelin standard restaurant.  

The menu consisted of a mouth-watering crimson salad of native lobster, with bursa figs, blackberries, poppy seeds, with a mango and maple syrup dressing, Cromer crab, with clementines, burnt lemon gel, green onion oil and oyster leaves and a main course of short rib of British beef with charred onions, sandy carrots, and mustard pickled kohlrabi.

The meal was finished with a tangy lemon posset with caramelized white chocolate shards, blueberries and pea cress for dessert.
