As a company dedicated to empowering both experienced aviation professionals and newcomers alike with the opportunity and platform to flourish, we’re confident that the backbone of our success lies in our people. This summer, we were delighted to be able to provide Private Jet Broker, Charlotte Thompson with the opportunity to travel to the United States, with a pivotal role in our largest project yet.
Around two years ago, our CEO, Mark Green, received a message on LinkedIn from Charlotte, a determined 20-year-old with a desire to find her place in the exclusive industry of private jet chartering. Her background, rooted in a family history of brokering within the shipping industry, alongside her independent research, sparked her interest. Mark was attentive to her enthusiastic and direct approach, recognising in her the potential to thrive within the team.
Charlotte quickly proved that her ambition was matched by her capability. Starting as a trainee broker, she embraced the challenge of understanding the diverse needs of our clients, working tirelessly to provide them with the best aviation solutions.
This summer presented a unique opportunity for the business, and for Charlotte in particular. We were entrusted with organising a complex operation of private jet charters across America for a prestigious sporting tournament. With our Group Charter and Private Jet Charter team members on the ground in North America, we were able to provide vital support, ensuring every detail was taken care of, and each charter was delivered to the highest standards.
Charlotte was given the crucial responsibility of managing the private jet flights for a key figurehead of the tournament. The project involved a comprehensive G650ER programme, involving 11 airports, 20 sectors and over 60 hours of flying across a five-week period. Through precise planning, flawless execution, and the ability to adapt to any scenario, the complex itinerary of flights was successfully delivered across the United States, including Paraguay, Las Vegas, Teterboro, Fort Lauderdale, Phoenix and San Jose.
At just 23 years old, having never set foot in the United States before, Charlotte was stationed in Miami. Here, she spent four weeks working closely with clients, coordinating flights, and ensuring every need was met. From navigating a new country to managing high-stakes logistics, Charlotte’s time in America was a testament to the dedication that we ensure all our clients.
Reflecting on her trip, Charlotte emphasises “Being given the responsibility to manage such a significant account was both exhilarating and challenging. It pushed me to take ownership and adapt to new situations, which has greatly boosted my confidence. I’ve learnt so much from this experience and am deeply grateful to Volanteus for the continued opportunities to grow within the industry.”
Charlotte’s journey from a LinkedIn message to managing complex international charters is a reflection of what we stand for, and the importance of empowering our team with the trust and support they need to thrive.
